Heyhop Terms
These terms govern the use of Heyhop at its initial launch, restricted to people aged 18 or over.
Informative translation of the original Spanish text.
Service provider
Heyhop is a product operated by Sergio Medina de Mera, an individual operator established in Spain. You can contact us through the official channels.
Acceptance and minimum age
By creating or using an account, you accept the current Terms, Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. You must be at least 18. Your date of birth is kept private and does not appear on cards, in events or in organiser views.
We may prevent access if age information, policy acceptance or required verification is missing, or if the account is restricted for safety reasons.
Account and authentication
You must provide accurate information, keep control of access to your account and contact soporte@mail.heyhop.app if you suspect someone has accessed it without permission. You must not use someone else's account or create another to evade a restriction.
Heyhop features
Heyhop lets you create Social and Professional cards, discover nearby people through Bluetooth without publishing a GPS position, participate in the Feed, events and rooms, answer questions or polls, make mutual connections and use direct or anonymous messages.
Some features may be disabled or subject to permissions, capacity, event context, age, Safety controls or a gradual rollout.
Your content
You retain any rights you hold in content you publish; ownership does not pass to Heyhop. You grant us non-exclusive permission, limited to what is needed to provide and protect the service, to host it, show it to the appropriate audience and moderate it. You must have the necessary rights and permissions and respect other people's image, privacy, intellectual property and data protection rights. Heyhop's software, brand and original elements remain with their owners; using the service does not transfer those rights to you.
Conduct and prohibited use
- Do not impersonate others, falsify your age or try to evade blocks, sanctions, access controls or technical limits.
- Do not harass, threaten, discriminate, defraud, send spam or share private data or intimate content without consent.
- Do not publish illegal content or infringe intellectual property, image, privacy or data protection rights.
- Any material or conduct that exploits, sexualises, recruits or endangers a minor is prohibited.
- Do not manipulate proximity, requests, matches, voting, reports or metrics.
The Community Guidelines form part of these terms.
Events and organisers
Organisers may manage participation and moderate their events and rooms using the available features. You must respect their reasonable rules where compatible with the law and Heyhop's rules. Third-party events are the responsibility of their organisers when Heyhop acts only as a platform; Heyhop does not necessarily organise them. The Privacy Policy explains what data organisers can access.
Moderation, reports and anonymity
You can report content or accounts and block other people. Where there is a breach or risk, Heyhop may limit or remove content, restrict features, suspend an account or retain information needed to investigate and comply with the law. We consider severity, risk, recurrence and context. Where appropriate, we will explain the main reasons for a measure and how to complain or seek a review; significant decisions may receive human review.
Anonymous chats conceal identity from other users and organisers, but not from the authorised Safety team when it needs to investigate, protect someone or comply with the law.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and secure, but maintenance, incidents or changes may occur. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded. Each user is responsible for their conduct and decisions when interacting with others or attending events.
Suspension and deletion
We may restrict or suspend an account for a breach, risk to others or legal requirement, proportionately to the circumstances. You can request deletion in the app or on the website. The Privacy Policy explains how related data is handled and when limited retention may apply.
Changes
We may update the service and these terms. Substantial changes will be communicated appropriately and may require renewed acceptance before protected features can continue to be used.
Applicable law and contact
Spanish law primarily applies, without limiting mandatory consumer, data protection or jurisdiction rules applicable to each person. For support, contact soporte@mail.heyhop.app; for safety and Child Safety, contact seguridad@mail.heyhop.app.
